Shelby Fair- Dance artist and Choreographer 

Growing up in southern Colorado, Shelby Fair began training in ballet and contemporary at Sangre de Cristo School of Dance. Her strengths in ballet had led her to principal roles in several ballets such as The Nutcracker, Giselle, and Le Corsair. She graduated from University of South Florida (USF) with a  BFA in Ballet and a certificate in Dance Medicine and Science Research (May 2021). During her time at USF she performed in original works by Andrew Carroll and Paula Nunez at USF. Shelby has danced professionally with Tampa City Ballet in their production 7thAve and Ebor(2019).Shelby perfomed as a guest artist for the Central Oregon School of Ballet (2019), performing in the role Dew Drop in The Nutcracker. During her time in Tampa Shelby worked with several local artists where she participated in events such as Heightened Senses, Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration, and Re-levations Dance Company. Shelby danced professionally with an outdoor drama Unto These Hills in Cherokee, NC, where she preformed  as a villager and actor (2021). In addition to performing, Shelby is interested in choreography and dance for film. Her piece, The Testimony was adjudicated to be produced and presented at the USF Student Dance Concert in 2019, she then choreographed works for her senior year in which she was awarded the Victoria Catherine Selden Dance ScholarshipShelby performed as a guest artist for the Central Oregon School of Ballet (2019), performing in the role Dew Drop in The Nutcracker.    Shelby is now living in Bend,Oregon, where she teaches classical ballet and contemporary ballet at central Oregon school of ballet. She now dances professionally as a member of Central Oregon Ballet,  where she preformed as Sugar Plum December 2022.
